At Emmanuel Baptist Church, we practice ‘believer’s baptism’, which means that persons are baptized after they have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Baptism classes are scheduled every couple of months and provide information on what baptism is all about. Once a person has decided to be baptized, he or she may contact a pastor and arrange a date and time for their baptism.
Baptism classes are held on Sunday afternoons, 4:00pm, in Room 119 (next to the Coffee Bar).
Upcoming Baptism Class Dates:
Anyone, regardless of age, can become a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. The only pre-requisite to becoming a member is that you have been baptized as a follower of Jesus Christ. Membership Classes are held every couple of months. This class will help you think through the importance and meaning of church membership; it will introduce you to Emmanuel’s history, structure, statement of faith, vision, mission and values. At the end of the Membership Class, you will be invited to sign a membership covenant which outlines your commitment to the church. Once the covenant is signed and submitted to the church office, you are a member!
Membership classes are held on Sunday afternoons, 3:30pm, in Room 119 (next to the Coffee Bar).
